Watch out...making those sandwiches is contagious

Hello All, Praise God. He is good all the time. Well it has been quite the couple of weeks. We were really just trying to catch our breathe after last weeks celebration. On Wednesday this week Pat got back to town after having a good Christmas home with his family. A well deserved break for him. Also on Wednesday, our good friends at Wendy’s put the lunches together for us. That is such a blessing and we would like to thank them and remind you of all that they do for us here. Thanks Again.

While we are saying thank you I would like to thank the Celebration small group for making the sandwiches for Thursday this week. They did not have as quite as large a group this week with a lot of people being away visiting family, but the stuck to their commitment and made the sandwiches, Thank you so much. I would also like to thank all the small groups locally here in St. Augustine that have been faithfully making sandwiches for this ministry. This sandwich mission would not have the reach or grown to where it is without you and your efforts. So I really want you to know how thankful I am for all that you do. I understand that it may seem like a simple thing to do but when you have an enemy trying to discourage you and throw you off task, it can be very difficult. So my many thanks go to you as well as my prayers for you for staying faithful and persevering through the things that come. Thank you.

I heard an interesting story this week when Erin Bailey dropped off the sandwiches for the Celebration small group. She said that a couple in her small group had their parents in town and brought them to small group to help make the sandwiches. While they were there the group was telling the parents the why, where and what of the sandwiches that they were making, and the parents were so touched by what was going on that they said that when they got back home to Virginia they were going to get the ball rolling on doing the same thing in their community through their local church. Pretty amazing. You better look out it appears that “making sandwiches is contagious”

I pray that you had a Merry Christmas and that Jesus really was the focus of your celebration this year. I pray that you grow closer to Him during the course of 2007.

Numbers 6:24-26
May the Lord bless you
and protect you.
May the Lord smile on you
and be gracious to you.
May the Lord show you his favor
and give you his peace.’

for His glory, Mitch
